For this project, I teamed up with Hiren Siva, Jonathan Lim and Teo Vi Vien. Together, we are Limstopher. We were required to create an abstract 3D model that represents the word given by our lecturer. For my group, we got Mutate. We were open to use any materials. For the first few weeks before submission day, we had to create progression models. The first process is to get the 3D forms that reflect the given word using plain white model boards. In the second stage, the best 3D model from the first stage will then go through a colouring process. Next, the third stage requires students to explore materials that are suitable for the final artwork. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

All in all, I learnt that design is not just about making something visually attractive. It is about fulfilling its function and being able to convey the desired messages to users or viewers without forgetting to use the design elements as well as principles. Also I leart that teamwork is very much needed in a group project. It is never a one-man-work. I am very grateful to have such good team mates who gave out equal efforts in fulfilling the requirements for this project.
