Progress #1
Where is Kudat?
It's located about 2 hours drive away from Sabah's capital, Kota Kinabalu.
Why did I choose Kudat?
It is close to a place I call home, and the villagers in Kudat still practices the old Kadazan habits. Also, since it's the season of Harvest Festival, I might even get to snap photos of the villagers harvest the rice at the paddy fields, as well as workers carving and decorating gongs.
Places that I plan to go at Kudat:
place selected to explore : Kudat, Sabah

Gong Factory
TIP OF BORNEO
Selected theme : Spaces & people
[ 29th April 2015 ]

Kudat market a.k.a "tamu"

RUNGUS LONGHOUSE
I chose "Spaces & Theme" as my theme for my Culture & Civilization final project because Kudat, Sabah attracts a variety of people and because the culture of the Rungus people as well KadazanDusun people is still pretty much alive.
Due to the fact that the Harvest Festival a.k.a Kaamatan Festival is just around the corner, it would be perfect to do Kudat as the place for me to explore because kaamatan decorations would all be up and it's actually the peak season whereby the kadazan culture relives again by most people.
This season would not only attract the locals, but also tourists who are intrigued to find out what is the Kadazan culture all about and basically have fun during Kaamatan.
