For our second assignment, we were supposed to act out a play based on the country that was given by our lecturers. As for my group, we got the country - Greece. Hence, we had to include the cultures of Greece in our play to fulfill the requirements according to the brief.

The storyline of our video is basically about the birth of Uranus and Kronos eating his children (Greek mythology). We also included the Greek-Persian war. We all hand sewn our costumes and hand made our weapons as all of us are on a tight budget. There were a few mishaps that happened during the play, best example is when I(Rhea), didn't catch my baby which resulted my headpiece to fall and also one of the few most embarrassing moments of my life.

Below is the video of our play.

We were also asked to make an A5 booklet on the character that we portrayed in our play. Below is my a5 booklet.

Before I forget, the character that I portrayed is Rhea, and one of the members of the Greek war troupe. According to the greek mythology, Rhea is the brother of Kronos whom she weds. They later had 6 children together and one of them was the ever so famous - Zeus.

Getting ready for this whole play was indeed time consuming as costumes were hand sewn and we had to do voice recording onto a mic, find songs that can correspond well with our play as a background music, etc.

Below are the photos & videos of our preparation.

In conclusion, I learned that working with 10 people in a group is indeed tough because there are 10 minds that might differ from each other which means there might be 10 opinions too. Deciding the storyline and whatnot was very time consuming because everyone had different ideas on how should the play be like, and also who should play what character. In the end, I learned how to be patient and work together with other group mates that I barely talked to before. I also learned that finding the right group mates who you can click with instantly is important as you and your group mates must reach each other's comfort level to actually create a good project outcome. And my group, is definitely the right group for this project as they are all very humurous and crazy which is a good thing because no one will ever be too stressed and tense. I also love this projct as it kind of is my acting debut in public and it gave me slight confidence that one day I might be an actress. Might.
