project 1 - back to our roots

 

For my project 1 for the subject Culture and Civilisation, I was assigned to do a graphical timeline calendar along with a family tree, infographic board regarding one's family, as well as an 8 minute video of the research that has been done. This project is divided into groups of 2 as well as individual. For the group project, I worked with my friend Syasya. Since we were only asked to work on one of our family, Syasya and I decided to go with my family. Together, we created two A3 boards that symbolizes a merge of chinese and kadazan culture, due to the fact I am of that race. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As for the video, we decided to go with a "Youtuber" themed concept, whereby the person infront of the camera just talks to the camera with a bit of cutting here and there. It is simple, but very interactive. Where did we get our inspirations from? We got it from the Youtube channel - O2L. Below is our 8 minute research video. As for the individual project which was a 4-paged A5 booklet, I focused on my family's taboos, festive seasons as well as languages. The theme of my book is basically like merge of a chinese restaurant's menu and also a notebook journal. Hence, the words and a few doodles.
