PROJECT 1 : EXPERENTIAL LANDSCAPE

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For my first constructed landscape project, my lecturers assigned the class into groups of 6. Each group will be given a type of park and the group will need to do their research and get ready to present it through a powerpoint presentation. Non of us knew anyone so it felt like kindergarten again where everyone around you are strangers and it's time to make new friends. Initially, I was frantic with worry as this project contributes to the overall marks by the end of the semester. This was because I wasn't certain if my group mates were the hardworking type of the type that just throws all the work to anyone. But I guess it was too early to judge because my group mates were actually a bunch of funny people. My group members were Siti Nur Fatahiah, Irfaan Yadun, Charel Fernando and Le Jia Nian.

 

The type of parks that were listed were:-

The park that was given to my group was Linear Park. We had no idea what it was because non of us had heard of that type of park, ever! What we had to do was to research on one local linear park and an international linear park. We had a few meet ups to discuss and come up with the powerpoint presentation. Each of us had our own subtopics to research on to ease the work and made sure that everyone contributed to this assignment. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In conclusion, with the help of this task I most definitely improved in my communication skills. This is due to the fact that there's two international students in my group. Fernando is from Indonesia, and Irfaan is from Mauritius. The way they converse in English and the way we Malaysians speak English differs a lot and it was  tough at the beginning, and it needed patience to understand every single word.  But in the end after all of us are comfortable with each other, conversing was the least to worry about.
