Assignment 1 - "What is culture"
For my first Culture & Civilisation assignment, I am required to film a 2 minute video about what "Culture" means to me and what do I briefly understand about my own culture. Since this assignment should be done in a group of 2, I went with Atiqah Syasya as my partner.
I am a sino-kadazan which means I have a chinese and kadazan cultural background. You might already know, but in case you haven't, kadazans are an ethnic group indigenous to the state where I grew up in - Sabah. Why am I a sino-kadazan and not just kadazan? Apparently, my dad is a chinese who married my mum who happens to be a kadazan, which makes me a sino-kadazan. The video attached below is a video of us explaining what culture means to us and what we understand about our culture. All in all, this project definitely made me clear of what I am most likely going to learn throughout the whole semester 2. I'm excited!
Time is never our friend if we happen to run out of it. But despite both of our busy schedules, we managed to squeeze in time to film the video.
Communication is always important especially in group assignments or project. In this case, Syasya and I worked well together and uploaded the video early on youtube before the submission date.
