Reflective Essay

 

 

In this Introduction to Business module, I learnt a lot of things through the assignments given and lectures. Through the lectures in class, I learnt about the fundamentals that keep businesses running. Also, the tutorial sessions that were conducted in all the classes were interesting and hyped up, yet very informative and beneficial too.

 

Through this subject, I have been trained to understand the fundamentals of certain business theories regarding human resource management, marketing, production and finance. This assignment taught me the importance of planning strategies and team management when doing a business. I have also gotten over the fact that I get scared of presenting to the whole class. Glad that is settled through one of the assignment, which was the business plan assignment. 

 

Not only that, in the final assignment, we applied the skills learnt in class and had a indirect feel of earning cash through a small business, in preparation for the big world in the future. Not only did it give us the opportunity to run a mock business, we got to donate the profit earned to any charity organization. Through all the class works and assignments, handling money is definitely not easy. A lot of planning is required, hard work and dedication.

 

All in all, the Introduction to Business module was fun and memorable that gave me valuable lessons to learn from that are definitely useful for future purposes. I would like to thank my lecturer, Mr. Joe for providing me guidance throughout this whole semester 2. Also, I would like to say that I am honored to be one of the students of the last class that Mr. Joe taught. All the best in the future Mr. Joe!
